Donated books support the services provided by the Friends of the Meriden Public Library. The Friends of the Meriden Public Library gladly accepts donations of new or gently used books, both hardcover and paperback that are suitable for sale either online or at the Friends Bookstore at 1 Colony Street in Meriden.  Donated books that are not suitable for sale will be donated to local reading rooms and libraries at municipal and non-profit agency locations throughout the city.

If you would like to donate books to the Friends of the Meriden Public Library, we ask that you abide by the following:

All books should be left in the bins provided at the main entrance of the Meriden Public Library.  Donations should NOT be left at the Friends Bookstore.
Books must be in good condition in order to be utilized in fundraising efforts.
Magazines and Reader's Digest Condensed Books are not accepted.
If you have a large quantity of books to donate and you are unable to get them to the Meriden Public Library, please contact the Friends Bookstore at (203) 639-1505 and leave a message for Mr. Kerry McEntee.
