Friends of the Morehouse Parish Library

We are a volunteer group of civic-minded individuals dedicated to supporting and strengthening the Morehouse Parish Library. Through special events and community initiatives, we raise funds to enhance library services and expand opportunities for everyone in our parish.

The funds we generate help support a variety of impactful projects—such as purchasing new books and digital resources, upgrading technology, sponsoring children’s and family programs, hosting author visits, and improving library spaces to better serve our community.

Our mission goes beyond fundraising. We strive to increase awareness of the library’s resources and the many benefits it offers to patrons of all ages. We believe that encouraging reading is key to improving literacy and comprehension, especially among young students. By partnering with local schools, we aim to ensure every child has access to books and the tools they need to succeed.
